DaRon Holmes II may miss the season.

Based on this result it appears that DaRon Holmes II’s first season in college was the shortest as he did not get an opportunity to play.

Sindhu Holmes was selected by the Phoenix suns with the 22nd pick then later traded to the Denver nuggets. He suffered an Achillies injury and will probably be sidelined for the whole of the 2024-25 season, as sources have stated.

It is a big loss for the team considering their starting power forward, the 6-foot-9 star from Dayton got injured during the Nuggets first game in Las Vegas Summer League.

It was alleged that after coming out of the building, he hobbled out on crutches.

"Obviously he's new around here," Julian Strawther, who was picked by the Nuggets in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft, told reporters after the game. "But he just brings such a positive energy."

In Holmes's defense against the Clippers under the basket, he left his feet to block a jump pass and then landed badly on his right leg.

The Nuggets lost to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference playoffs last season, so Holmes was thought to be a key reserve in the frontcourt as they tried to get back to the NBA Finals.

Last year, the Nuggets had the 25th most bench points in the NBA.

Before getting hurt, Holmes had 11 points and 7 boards in 26 minutes. He started all 33 games for Dayton as a junior and scored 20.4 points, grabbed 8.5 boards, and passed the ball 2.6 times per game.
