Diablo 4 player loses Hardcore character just minutes after reaching level 100

A Diablo 4 gamer lost their Hardcore character shortly after reaching max level.

Diablo 4's permadeath challenge is hardcore. A single death will permanently delete your Hardcore mode character, regardless of level.

Diablo 4's Hardcore mode is so difficult that Blizzard memorialized the first 1,000 players to reach level 100 on a Lilith statue after launch.

The Daughter of Hatred might lead to the ultimate downfall or the greatest reward. Caligrya, a Reddit member, lost their level 100 Hardcore character moments after maxing them out.

Caligrya revealed their significant blunder in the discussion. They promptly challenged the Echo of Lilith at level 100. The boss fight, known as Uber Lilith, is one of Diablo 4's hardest.

I had no idea what I was getting into. My naivete was on display, they said. It was decided to confront the Echo of Lilith because the game recommends level 100.

While you should be level 100 before trying it, the fight requires the greatest gear and workshopped setup.

Most players can't face the challenge until they've cleared Tier 100 Nightmare Dungeons or Pit levels above 60. You may die during those with a Hardcore character.
