Some say Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets' quarterback, still has it.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler announced his top ten quarterback rankings for the 2024 season on Monday, July 15.
A panel of 80 league executives, scouts, and coaches compiled this list.
Rodgers was ranked eighth this year after being fourth the previous year."He's probably fringe top 10 at this point, but he still has the rare ability to throw the football," an AFC executive told ESPN.
"That has not gone away. I believe he has a great opportunity to boost the Jets and demonstrate what he can still do."
Rodgers was a divisive topic during the voting process. At least one individual put him as high as third on the list. At the same time, others left him out of the top ten entirely.
Fowler explained that Rodgers appeared on "fewer than 60% of the ballots." However, half of those who included him on the list placed him in the top five of their rankings, giving him the eighth slot on this list.
A-Rod's current QB ranking of top-eight after a torn Achilles at the age of 40 is outstanding. However, in the ESPN blurb, Fowler labeled Rodgers' placing as a "mild upset."
